Clärchens Ballhaus

 

Clärchens Ballhaus is one of the last remaining ball houses in Berlin from the 20th century. Years ago, this place helped me find a missing part of myself. Here I was not afraid of going out alone, of dancing with strangers, of going home early or at 5 am without feeling my legs.
If you look good, you’ll find a piece of my heart between grains.
These pictures were taken in the last Monday nights of Salsa before Clärchens Ballhaus like we knew it closed at the end of 2019.
