A contemporary documentary photographer with a passion for languages


Cecilia Gaeta’s main artistic interest is reporting on global issues with focus on social and gender equality through pictures and words with an intimate approach.
She is currently working on a new project in Ute Mahler master seminar “MITEINANDER”. In 2023 she graduated in Göran Gnaudschun’s Photography class at Ostkreuzschule with an intimate multigenerational portrait of Filipinxs migrants living between Italy and The Philippines. In 2018 she got her Bachelor degree in Asian and African Area Studies at the Humboldt University of Berlin.
She was born and raised in Rome, and moved to Berlin on her own at age 19.
